About

Perinatal and early childhood mental health & Occupational Therapy

The Perinatal period is a pivotal passage of time from pregnancy and up to a year after giving birth - we support families through this time until their child is of pre-school age.

"Infant/early childhood mental health, sometimes referred to as social and emotional health, is the developing capacity of the child from birth to 5 years of age to form close and secure adult and peer relationships; experience, manage, and express a full range of emotions; and explore the environment and learn—all in the context of family, community, and culture." Zero to Three www.zerotothree.org

Early Childhood Occupational Therapists (OT's) work with children 0-5yrs and their family & carers to enable infants & young children to live happily and independently by providing therapy based around meaningful activities.

Mental Health OT's draw on a range of focussed psychological and occupational therapy strategies to help people understand, manage and thrive with their daily function.
